Tues Eve: New Zealand: Roger Diamond

Post by ant » Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:27 am

Please come and join fellow climbers for the monthly social and slideshow at the MCSA Cape Town tomorrow eve.

I think we all harbour thoughts of mountaineering in New Zealand - Roger Diamond recently went there and did quite a range of climbing:

Roger Diamond went to New Zealand to take in some foul weather and meet people who are not Aussies. Along with homesick Capetonian Mark Johnston, he tackled Mount Aspiring and some other notable summits. Although he didn't brave the icy Southern Ocean, he managed to experience a range of ablutionary delights, such as glacial lakes, alpine rock puddles, crater lakes and subterranean streams. Some flags were flown.
