New parking @ Coven, Waterval Boven

A new arrangement has been negotiated with Norma from the ACRA retreat. She is busy building a nice pub in her house and soon you'll be able to have some refreshments after climbing in the valleys below.

Parking inside her property will cost a mere R20 per car to be paid to Elias and you can just ring the bell at the security gate to get access.

This is great for safety.

If you wanted to climb at the Restaurant and Gaper area where is best to park then?

Thanks

Elandskrans charges R20 per person, otherwise just walk through from the Sport Valley side after parking at the Coven (R20 per car). Flying is Fun is the only crag that stays in the shade in the morning, so warm up there, then waltz accross.

They are only concerned about day visitors that go for a swim/braai and don't really have anything to do with the surrounding cliffs or hiking trails.

OK so the cars are safe, but what about the crags?

As far as Boven crag security is concerned, see previous threads on this forum. No recorded incidents in over 15 months, though it doesn't mean that you won't be the next victim so make sureyou take the normal precautions.
