Is the Maltese Cross still legal to climb?
I was wondering if we are still allowed to climb the Maltese Cross. I heard rumours that it is not allowed anymore. Can someone please help if they know the answer.

There's much bigger (better?) stuff to climb in that area. Why mess with it?

No idea if it's legal or not, but you can bet that no one is out there checking to make sure that you don't.
Why climb it? It's a classic route on a feature that just screams: "Climb me!"

Happy climbing

Agreed with Nic, classic feature.

Is it not closed because the area was closed after the fire a year or two back?

Ok, thanks guys. Yes it is a classic feature that stands out in the midst of its 'bigger' and 'better' surrounding mountains but it is a beauty on its own, and why wouldn't anyone want to climb it.
